Introduction
TapIn Pokémon turns every community into a town, every live into a tournament and the whole app into tall grass.
TapIn Pokémon is a Pokémon game that lives inside TapIn, the live-community app. There is no separate world to walk around: TapIn is the world. Your TapIn account is your trainer. Every community is a town with a gym, and its owner is the gym leader. Every live can run a tournament whose champion battles the host and gets invited to the stage. Wild Pokémon jump out at you on any page, every few minutes.
What is in the game
- 251 Pokémon. All of Kanto and Johto, from Bulbasaur to Celebi, with official artwork, animated sprites and cries.
- Gold and Silver rules. 17 types including Dark and Steel, Special Attack and Special Defense, held items, friendship, day and night, shiny Pokémon and Kurt's balls.
- Gyms in every community. Each town has a gym type, a badge and its own wild Pokémon. Beat the leader, or the gym's team when the leader is away, to earn the badge.
- Tournaments on every live. The host opens a bracket, viewers enter with three Pokémon, battles run at level 50 with 10 second turns, and the champion faces the host for a seat on stage.
- Battles with anyone. Challenge a trainer from their profile, a member list, the live audience or the chat.
- Trades. Offer a Pokémon, ask for one back, and watch trade evolutions happen.
- A world that moves. Your lead Pokémon follows you around the app, legendary birds fly over, the roaming beasts run past and Team Rocket drifts by in a balloon to steal your Poké Balls.
