Communities and gyms

In TapIn Pokémon every community is a town. Open a community page and a gym banner sits at the top: the gym's type, its badge, its leader, how many trainers hold the badge and a button to challenge it.

A town gives you four things:

• A gym with a type and a badge named after the community: a community called Night Owls has the Night Owls Badge. The community owner is the gym leader. See Gyms.
• Its own wild Pokémon. While you are on a community's pages, wild encounters come from that town's pool, mostly Pokémon of the gym type. See Wild pools.
• Weather and light. Rain falls in Water towns, snow in Ice towns, fog drifts through Ghost, Dark and Psychic towns. See Weather and time of day.
• A leaderboard. Points you earn in the town (its catches, its gym, its tournaments) count towards the community ranking. See Leaderboard.

Lives in a community are the town's stadium: the host can open a tournament there.
