Time of day

TapIn Pokémon follows the clock on your device, so night falls when it falls where you are.

What changesCopy Anchor Link

• Wild Pokémon. Some species only come out at certain times: Hoothoot and Spinarak at night, Ledyba in the morning. Each Pokédex page lists when a species appears.
• Evolution. Eevee becomes Espeon in the morning or during the day and Umbreon at night, when its friendship is high enough. See Friendship.
• Healing moves. Morning Sun heals more in the morning, Synthesis during the day and Moonlight at night. See Weather.
• The screen. A light tint follows the hour: warm in the morning, clear in the day, dark blue at night.
• Your Pokémon's record. A caught Pokémon remembers the time of day it was met.
