TapIn Pokémon

Weather

Rain, sunshine and sandstorms in battle.

Three moves change the weather for five turns: Rain Dance, Sunny Day and Sandstorm. Using one replaces the weather that was there.

WeatherEffects
RainWater moves ×1.5. Fire moves ×0.5. Thunder never misses. Solar Beam has half power. Moonlight, Morning Sun and Synthesis heal half as much.
SunshineFire moves ×1.5. Water moves ×0.5. Solar Beam fires without charging. Thunder's accuracy drops to 50%. Moonlight, Morning Sun and Synthesis heal twice as much. Nothing can be frozen.
SandstormEvery Pokémon that is not Rock, Ground or Steel loses 1/16 of max HP at the end of each turn. Moonlight, Morning Sun and Synthesis heal half as much.

Healing by time and weather

Moonlight, Morning Sun and Synthesis restore a quarter of max HP. They restore half when used at their own time of day (Morning Sun in the morning, Synthesis during the day, Moonlight at night), and the weather then doubles or halves that. See Time of day.

Weather in communities

Each community has its own weather on screen, set by its gym type: rain in Water towns, glaring sun in Fire towns, snow in Ice towns, sand in Rock, Ground and Steel towns, and fog in Ghost, Dark and Psychic towns. It is scenery. Battles always start in clear weather; only moves change it. See Weather and time of day.
